Pine River Watershed Initiative Network cultivates community experiences at McLarty Environmental Study Area
The Pine River Watershed Initiative Network (PRWIN) expresses its thanks for the support of the Community Foundation Grey Bruce Capital Grant in contributing to a current project – Cultivating Community Experiences at the McLarty Centre.
The McLarty Environmental Study Area is located on Bruce Road 6/Side Road 20 in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.
PRWIN would like to highlight the importance of the area by developing more opportunities.
McLarty Centre has a trail system throughout the area, two wetland ponds, an Osprey nest and countless mature trees. McLarty Centre offers many opportunities. The PRWIN Network invites you to enjoy walking the trail, bird watching, photography, learning opportunities in an outdoor classroom, and reconnecting with nature. The Cultivating Community Experiences project will provide a sun shelter and will upscale areas of the site to provide a place to explore in nature.
